Im finally back, and it looks like alot of my peeps don't update their mindsays no more. Well, I figure I'll post my songs up here since its convenient.

So finally! After long wait, I was finally able to finish up a track. Well actually I have a bunch of tracks ready to go, just the last year has been so busy with my senior year at UW, my new job, apartment and various other situations I have had very little time to do any finalizing on my songs. Well here we go!

This track is entitle Hoshi, which is actually a remix of an older song I did a year or so ago. I found some really good lead pads for this and wanted to redo the whole thing using everything I've learned. The results... ARE AMAZING! My productions get better all the time, but this one is significant improvement I think! Check it out im sure you'll luv it!

Also my most significant Dj event went down a month ago at Highilne Community Colleges Boat cruise. Now maybe this wasn't as crackin as the Hotel Moneco gig I had, but this event meant so much to me. First it was something that I have gone to annually! So i have seen the competition and I personally felt I had surpass this. And in my opinion I did! I knew I wanted to do this 6 months ago so I changed my dj name to VIVID and the Vivid experience, had some business cards done along with a flyer and portfolio, and passed it out to important people at Highline. After securing the gig, I practiced a good 2 months before hand, got the lighting, had DJ and Kozue help me out and did 2 promotional things around highline in the week before event. In preparation I upgraded my set with a new cdj and a brand new mixer. The event went incredibly well, and i have plenty of good stories to tell about it! Nothing like setting out for a goal and completly meeting it! Check out the pics!

Like I said in my last post, I had another gig last saturday night. It was located right off the edge of lake union with a view of the water right next to my room! What a great location for a valentines dance. This gig was pretty similar to the previous one at hotel moneco except my stage was much higher (which was a plus) and the crowd was definetely different. There were around 100 people there and about 50 -70 people dancin at at time. The crowd would cheer everytime i mixed somethin, it was funny. But around 11:45pm the crowd changd to a bunch of guys and wasn't nearly as fun to dj for. Its the girls that really make dance gigs fun.

I went to take some pics wit the JSA peeps while Kozue was dj'n! She knows more about dj'n than any of my friends, thats hella awesome. So she was rockin the room for a couple tracks~ that was freakin awesome!

This event wasn't quite as crackin as the previous one, but it was still fun. And its awesome to receive compliments from people about what I do. Also i received offers for new gigs! Hard to believe im earnin money from this!

Recently a record label, AIRMASS records, contacted me after hearin my radio show and was likin what i was doin. So a PR rep personally came down to the station and dropped off some of their new releases. freakin good music too shit, hard to believe its comin from seattle. Anywho im thinkin about sendin some demos to them and see what they think i can improve on~ it'll be interesting to hear what they have to say.

Long Time Since I last updated, and alot has happened~ Here are some pictures of me Dj'in last weekend at HOTEL MONECO in downtown seattle!

The party just got started, and already there were people dancin~  
Things start to get a little nuts, the place is getting cramped and im hearing that there is over 150 people in the room!

This shot was taken in the middle of the crowd, by this time people are gettin buzzed from the alchohol provided and everyone is dancin! Over 180 people! <br />

This event was such a rush~ Nothing can really describe it. My mixing was practically flawless, shit! Pretty amazin since I don't really spin that much hip hop and thats what I was doin for most of that night ( I did manage to surprise the crowd with a house track here and there). There were a few hiccups there over the night, but none of it was really my fault! So it was really great, the crowd was really energetic too, so that got me into it as well. I also had alot of help settin up and the staff at the hotel were great!

People were going nutz, I had a couple all grindin up on my stage and shit. It was movin my table and it was kinda throwin me off. Some people were dancin really funny, too, so it added some humor to the night. The gig started around 9pm and went till 1:15am. I was sooo exhausted by the end, sweatin and everything.

Gettin paid for this is crazy~ The cash I got for it was mostly used for records (And I got hella now) but it still great receivin some cash for my hard work. Very rewarding! Feb. 12th I got another dance at the UW to do, and IM gettin paid for that too!! Ah shit, its blowin up~
